im trying to get a little more variety in my 180. i have an ornate, endlicheri, palmas, and indo dat and a florida gar and ive been thinking bout adding a few catfish, like some of the larger synodontis sp. so the question is have any of u guys had any sucsess keeping catfish with bichirs?
ever mix bichir with catfish?

I've always had cats of some type with my bichirs. Usually synos, but also raphaels, various plecs, clarias, and possibly a few others that I can't remember.
It should be fine as long as the Catfish isn't aggressive. Most Cats will be fine. I would recommend a Doradidae species.

2 of my tanks have cats mixed with Bichirs, with no problems at all.
one of them has Bichirs with a rather large Brachyplatystoma Juruense (false Tigrinus), the other has Bichirs with a slightly smaller Brachyplatystoma Tigrinum (Tigrinus).
At feeding time the cats will bully there way to the pellets a little by nudging the Bichirs out the way, but never in a dangerous way, and all fish eat well.

thanks alot guys u realy cleared up any doubts i had. my doubts originated from my friend saying that bichir are built to eat catfish so because of that i was hesitant but i guess he was wrong awesome lol
the mega didnt make it did he?
