ever mix bichir with catfish?

i have a tsn and a rtcxtsn with my bichirs. i had a problem with my syno cat sucking the slim coat off my bichirs.
^ so im guessing this is common with synos? im liking the doradidae family and they seem like the best bet. any one keep any of these? and specifically what species cuz i want to find out whats practical in acquiring and whats not because its too rare
I've kept synos with bichirs for almost 15 years. Never had one suck on a bichir. My oldest pair are my syno angelicus and ornate bichir. They've been together for over 11 years.
i have 2 bichirs with my rtc and they get along fine haven't seen any agression towards each other.. but i do have hiding places just in case

On a smaller scale...I have a pictus with my 2 sens, delhezi & palmas polli (all still under 10" down to 6") without issues.
