it's a tailipa butikifairi(sp),they are an african cichlid,EXTREMLY aggressive and there main diet is snails,i had a male and female that i tried to get to spawn but they where introduced to each other when they both where adult size so i didn't have much luck with that, they are now at a friends house where he is trying the same thing, when we moved them the male was 16" and the female was around 13",and they both where VERY thick
gorgeous gorgeous..it is worth keeping by itself.. i have 2 red devils and the jag by them selves so i know what your talking about, hard to put adults together after they grew up alone..hard to take a chance that they will mate without killing each other.. their main diet is snails..so you raise your own snails? would you concider they are more aggressive then red devils or jags? also is your zillie alot like this one? ..are these too the talapia that they sell in markets?

Not the Geo, the Glass knife.. havent seen them in any LFS since i got mine.. not rare, just like the thread says not often seen,:naughty:

Red Devil, they stay relatively small compared to most knives...
Supposedly one sex can get upto 18Inches the other 12" although i highly doubt 18" in a tank.. the color is a dullish grey/green color...
Mine is not an adult..had it for 10 months, went from 5.5" to about 9"
Relatively peaceful, but will defend itself if someone gets too close...
Have small mouths, so they only eat bloodworms, brine shrimp, and TINY worms
I think theyre really cool personally.. mine loves its tube..even though my 3.5" THinbar kind of stole it.. Im very happy with this purchase..any more questions let me know!

Thanks for the compliments... and there faces are very comical!

PS LOVES swimming backwards!

Strangest fish I have....and Kind of common but not really. I think they are strange because it's like a cross between a catfish and a pleco all in one.

My Oxydoras Niger....

That Oxydoras is awesome!

my lfs has these all the time, i was thinking about getting one but they are way to skinny to have in an agressive tank, what do you keep yours with? my buddy bought 2 and one ate the other.... great fish!

The ABA ia about 10 or 11 inches (gotta long way to go).
The Marbled goby is the bigger of my two.
The Watercow died a few years back but man he was gorgeous. My other marbled goby killed him.
