exotic fish shop thoughts?

Did you leave a review for FedEx about that? If you did or if you will, I'm sure it'll be very helpful to the person who, if they didn't see the review, places an order for that several thousand dollar arowana they've saved up forever for, gets it delievered to the wrong address in town, and only finds out what happens once the arowana croaks and they're several thousand in the hole.
I contacted the seller and they said they were going to handle it, but I was able to figure it out. Now I just add a note on any order indicating there’s a house nearby with the same numbers
Predatory fins instill zero confidence in me, i watch their videos from time to time and its apparent they know very little about the species they import. their website only recently started to include descriptions and genus/species. their lists looks good but its just the same as ordering from another enthusiast.

I don’t think very many shops know a lot about the fish. I’m ok with that, as long as they have quality fish and can tell what weakened or sick fish looks like and know how to ship properly and have good customer service, I’m good.
Thats a fair assessment... i tend to overthink like to make sure the businesses i support share my values at least to a degree.
That’s tough to find, most are only in it for the money and everything they do is to that end
True, I think that what keeps me loyal to TUIC. Jeff did a great job in choosing his heir apparent.

Global is new to me but i like what i see so far and their customer service has been impeccable thus far.
I've only spoken w/ Exotic on the phone once or twice.. i like his candor, being local etc.
I’ve ordered from TUIC once and it was good and I’ve gone in on a group order from Aqua imports and everything was also good. I’ve never spoken with Steve , just text but he seems very straight forward and honest. The only reason I haven’t tried global is their shipping is much higher and i found what I wanted elsewhere. You should check out lonestar, they’re very good and everything came in bigger than listed and extremely healthy
I've looked at Lonestar. Texas and Florida are expensive to ship to MA, i think Lonestar offers a flat rate of $48. However, unlike some other groups there is seldom more than 1 item i'd like to get from them at a time. i try to get my orders up to a dollar amount where shipping is less than 1/6th of the cost. In my head that feels like a decent distribution of cost per fish.
exotic is only $20 to ship to me, so that figure may be lower when i use them.
