I just paid NZ$99 for a ~7" silver, they're usually anywhere from $100-150 at LFS's.

We get them for $20..hehe!

Well.. In Maryland people think they can get away with ripping people off. I can get a 2 foot plus silver right now for $75. I can get other silvers for like 10-15$ you just have to know the right people look on the mfk buy and sell.

Pat,

While you think our lfs are ripping off the consumer, are you aware of what our middle-men wholsalers are charging us? Sure we could drop the price significantly if we transhipped in 30+ silvers, but there is simply no way we could correctly house that many and there is not a large enough demand (nor enough customers with adequately sized tanks). I agree with you that they should be selling for less, and could be selling for a bit less, but there is not much we can do about it. How about you and some other MFK locals start a breeding operation to flood the local market with silvers and jars at a cheap cost?
