You guys got good prices on Leichardtis here at the lfs it costs $225 for 3-4". On the net you can get them $100-$125 for 3-4" and like $175 for 9".

Buy Leichardti's you mean Jardini's? Well there is a 13" one (Very plain) at my favourite LFS for $380, down from $450. Cause it wont sell, Lol.

Huh? By Leichardti's i mean.... Leichardti's. There are 2 types of Scleropages in australia.

I'd give the owner of that shop a mouthful on a busy sunday arvo for trying to rip people off.

Mine is made in 12mm. but has 5 straps on the top and has strapping on the bottom. Reputable aquarium shop assures me that it will be fine.

Ok, I get it now. The 2 types of .. yeah.. get it. Thanks.

Im not going to bad mouth the guy because although the price is a bit steep, they have great stock and knowledge which can be hard to find. Also fish in this store are generally higher quality than LFS in the same area.

3/4" minimum. Any less is risky

Sorry, I don't work in inches as fractions. I have only learned inches through use of the internet and fish keeping. 3/4" would equal roughly 15mm-18mm, I'm guessing closer to 18mm?? Metric is so much more accurate.

I got a price on a piece of glass just out of curiosity, 10'x3'x12mm (they'd have to phone out on anything wider) $500, polished edges bring it up to around $750-$800. I'd rather polish it myself and save $250-$300.

AussieNative: It's in the north side, in the Caboolture shire. Called... dun dun da duunnnn, The Ultimate Aquarium. Really good shop compared to anything within 50kms of it.

A 10x3 out of 12mm would scare me:eek: Also you cant just polish the edges yourself
