Explain to me why Pythons shouldn't be banned?

this thread has arguments and fights all over it the point to these snakes as people love them as you love your fish or dog, there great to work with BUT should be bought by those who are up to the challenge and want a bigger snake.

An update, the bill's impact #'s are being reviewed by the committee of business for the US govt. They are studying the impact of banning such species will have on the US economy. This might be a small victory in long battle to stop the banning.

Pythons?!?! Pfffft! Elaborate, i have many royal pythons and your saying they should be took off of me? All because some stores dont inform the buyers because theyre only interested in money. Great danes shouldnt be kept as pets because theyre big? My clydesdale should be took away aswell??? Iery sure horses kill many more people than pythons, its only because of the stupid folk that think horses are cute but reptiles look "evil". What about the neds and stupid lil boys that go and ask a shop if theres "Any of those mad shark fish?" TYhis thread should be closed or it's obvious its going to start arguements...
only prob with the glades issue is not from ppl dumping them there i would say 3/4 are from when hurricane andrew hit most of the wholesalers and collectors were hit hard and lost most of their stock.ive been in the industry since i was 3 yrs old my parents were wholesalers in the 80's and 90's and i grew up around giant snakes and hot rooms its all about the person. for someone to lose a child by a snake is insane why would u leave ur child alone with a wild animal? they cant blame the snake . just like pitbulls its how they are raised.
oh as for the op why shouldnt snakes be banned cause its none of anyones biz what kinda animals we have if we let them have this then the next is the guns and type of car we have or what we watch on tv. if i wanna keep my 13ft retic and 9ft boa no one will tell me other wise. now if they wanna regulate and like they have done and chip them thats fine.but dont tell me i cant have my animal i raised from a hatchling and when i move to pa from fl they are commin with me no matter what any thief politician says.

i know i saw on craigslist the other day an alligator and tank for sale .i wanted to drive up there and get it cause here they are protected unless u have a hunting permit for one and also piranha and freshwater stingray are banned all together.
