Agreed, if they were given for free, they should be given for free, or have a 50$ or under policy IMOKNH;897696; said:No problem. A fish rescue is a great idea to help those that are in over their heads but I would love to see "appropriate size homes" as the criteria for placement and not "$". If he presented himself as a retailer than I would have never even mentioned price.

You should not make enemies for reading his site and/or understanding what he is trying to do. It clearly states why he is asking so much. "Get for free give for free" are you serious? Do you really think the gas, electricity, medications, and time, is free? He also stated that he makes sure they are going to a proper home when adopting out. Lets keep to the rules about posting in this forum. Lets also try a little reading comprehension before posting. This guy should be supported and commended for what He is trying to do. Instead He gets criticized about pricing by some cheap, non-reading, lowballers, that do not have a clue. Think about it!oshp132;898896; said:I think most of you are missing the point here....I am probably going to make enemies on my comments, but here goes. I know John (Monsterfishkeepersl.com). He is not trying to make any money by re-locating any of his fish. As a matter of fact, I am fairly certain that he loses money on most of the fish he takes in. All he is doing is trying to recover some of his expenses...And boy does he have expenses!! I would guess that he is up to about 2,000 gallons of tanks by now. Anyways, I am just defending him because he does all of this for the right reasons. He is not looking to make a profit. He will only sell these fish to qualified hobbyists....And if more pet stores did this, he wouldn't be in this position.
