Continue treatment for 21 days after all spots are gone.

so raise the temp? add salt? and do 50% wc daily for a month?

More like 80% every other day. This treatment needs to continue for 21 days after the very last spot is gone.

been doing 50% daily.. and kept the temp up to 85 range. have not added salt at the moment. and have not seen any sign of the ick. plan on maintaining this for the next 4 weeks. If the Ick does return then I'll start adding salt. BUt he's doing very well, eating like a champ, and no sign of gill problems. I believe it caught it very early. Thank you for the imput.

Great!

almost forgot.. I snapped some pictures when i took out the gravel and plants in prep of haveing to salt the tank down. I did a pretty good over-haul so decided it was best to scoop him out with a cup and set him on a table while i destroyed teh tank more or less... He's in one of those standard betta cups you see at most LFS.. not the big ones either >.<

^ nice looking puffer... i remember when i got mine she was about that size (around 1")...

figured I'de post a lil' update of "puff puff" who is now pretty much my husbands pet lol. he/she doesn't give a toot if I come near the tank but my hubby gets a puffer at the tank front body wagging begging everytime.... lol. not the best picture but he's about 4" now. eats clams, frozen bloodworms, occasional pond snail from my planted tank when I can find them. pretty soon wanna add crayfish, and my apple snail just had a slew of babies hatch-out.

Nice update... and its funny, my g/f used to complain about our fahaka ignoring her... but give it time and i'm sure your puff will start warming up to you as mine has to my g/f...
