He def needs that lips to heal up, also pretty underweight. Feed him the whole snail with shell and all, also some frozen market shrimp and other shelled foods. They love live crabs also.

Be sure to defrost all frozen foods 1st. Ice cold food is not good for them. I defrost all my fish's foods in Vita-Chem water.

I dont defrost mine and have never had an issue, she enjoys "breaking" the frozen shrimp apart.

Okay, not sure if there is any scientific data behind why its bad feeding still frozen foods to our puffers, but considering there are no freezers in nature, i tend to defrost before feeding too...

Why de-shelled snails? They need the crunch of the shell to keep his teeth trimmed back.

These are a can of deshelled snails I had picked up at an auction a while back, figured I would see if he would eat them. He ate two market shrimp tails last night.

Just farm raised deshelled snails according to the label on the can.
