Nice kestrel and RX7, Ling! The American kestrel, aka "sparrow hawk" to rednecks, has always been one of my favorite raptors. So, do you have that triple-rotor 20B from the Cosmo in your RX7 yet?

I held a Redtail Hawk one time a few months ago and that thing had the grip of a iron worker. I had to get it out of a cage and well... it wasn't fun. It grabbed on to my fingers and I thought they were done for.

:WHOA: 20B......Ok...now i'm jealous!

WOW...A lot of interest in falconry. Oh, thanks for noticing the car too LOL!

rallysman, ming, rook45, fishboi, thanks!

Halofish, yes, I train my own bird. Btw, that is what a kestrel sound like on your avatar kekeke or killy killy killy

riskistang, I live in Asheville about 2 hrs from Charlotte. My FD is also a '94.

Tim, ask your State for a falconry packet if you're serious and maybe we can go trapping together next fall. Remember, these birds are not consider pets.

Li, I don't really see how you can balance your time between a newborn, fish, this board and falconry.

Switchblade, are you a license falconer yourself? Great advice, btw. Falconry is time demanding and needs alot of hunting time to keep them healthy, they are not pets!

Redtail, bunnies are much more fun and rewarding than rats :grinno:

fishguy, the problem is hardly anyone keep them stock enough to be reliable. This is my 4th RX-7 and I've never had a problem with either one of them. Not saying the are really reliable, they just can't handle abuse like a 2JZ.

Jesse, how you doing bro? I hope to have some free time in spring to do the swap.

LOL tim.. i think they were falcons ..there was one that even setup a nest in a luxury apartment in park ave. They have a hell of a time catching those rats in NYC.

Damn, Ling! If I lived closer, I'd drive by just to check out the project.

fishguy, the FD before this was a DD and traded in for a Tacoma 8 years ago. This FD now is just a toy while my Tundra is my daily driver. I know what you mean with some reliablitly mods, a after market radiator is a must.

Redtail, I've heard peregines falco peregrinus nesting on tall buildings in NY but rats are not their normal diet. Peregrine usually hunt avian prey like pigeons and ducks.

Jesse, I wish you do live closer, I could always use a hand! My biggest dilemna is how to mount the motor. There are after market subframes out there, but most either have to mod the steering rack to clear the oil pan or cut the firewall. There are a few guys out there using a stock or modded subframe and shorten the intake manifold, custom oil pan and a few other tricks. Once I decide which route to take then the rest is just should be straight forward.
