Fastest Breeding / Feeder fish?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i always go to the local pond or river and catch tons of crayfish. they are dirty, but the gars haven't complained yet. i keep an eye out for parasites, all looks good so far after several years. since most of us keep illegal fish, another option is to go fishing and keep the small fish instead of throwing back like your supposed to...lol...i know i know...but its fun and cheap source or large food. red bellies love trout!!

ive tried doping this so many times
never worked
you have to wait to long for one feeding its not worth is
just buy a million feeders and feed em off
or if u had to id get a HUGE pair of convicts
as big as u can find lol

are convicts faster breeders then tilapia?

Convicts are more prolific breeders.....You can get easily get two spawns per month....Three spawns if you are really desperate...All is needed is a 10-20g tank, heater, pot, water, food.....Don't call PETA on me, but I have spawned a pair 3 times in one month... Cons are the number one feeder breeder....Sure, you got your guppies, but you all know how small guppies are....Con fry are "feeder ready" within 1 month.....By 4-5 weeks of age, con young each half inch, little grape treats for your monsters....

convicts are the best feeder cichlids that can be bred with very little effort

ghost shrimp are tiny?? monster fish won't get full on them. are they easy to breed?

i got my breeder tank set up last night

its a 3foot one 40gallon which i got for free :-)

could i get say 1 male convict and 2 or 3 female convicts

then put in say 5 guppies / 5 platys (2 +3)

its a pretty wide tank 19" wide so theres plenty of room

Will they breed all togeather or is it a bad idea?

here's a pic of tank, there is loads of water space where the lid is that takes about 5" of water that you can not see in the pic
