Pim blochi but you need to scape wisely as they like to sit in their cave

So this is a large pictus? I like the regular pictus that's frequently seen. This could be perfect depending how big they get

Edit: so this is the 4 line pictus. Google says they only get to about 8 inches in the aquarium. Has this been your experience as well? That'd be an awesome fish to work around.

Your best source for overall size is scotcat.com and planetcatfish.

That's 13.8" without the tail. Scotcat says over 12" If you treat it well, it will get over 8" eventually.

Old time favorite and hardiest of most Corydora species imo.

Absolutely. They were one of the first corys I ever had. We bought 2 different corys for 2 tanks about 3 or 4 years ago. The emerald and the panda. We've had probably 5 other species since then but the panda and emerald are the ones we've hung on to. Still have the original ones we started with plus the babies that made it through

Much appreciated ? scotcat.com is a new resource I didn't know about. Will be checking in to learn all I can. The best part of keeping any fish is learning about them beforehand. You gain so much knowledge that transfers over to other fish when you actually do you research. Places like these 2 sites are a blessing to us

That is one funky cool looking fish! I may have to find one of these. Definitely a conversation starter here.
Go to www.aquaimports.com and send them an email regarding Wallace’s shoehead catfish, tell them Brian Chapman sent you there and Mike will take care of you. You also could go to “the wet spot” and ask them to bring them in, they’ve done so a couple times. I’m the person that got those two sites to bring them in originally, I spent two years searching for someone to bring in Wallace’s shoehead catfish for me and those two places are the only ones that took me seriously and/or were able to bring them in. I prefer aqua imports as me and Mike (owner) have a relationship built up now because of these wonderful and beautiful catfish. I go to mike first if I need a fish found and I’ll buy from him even if I can find the fish I’m looking for elsewhere cheaper because I know he’ll give me good fish and take care of me as a customer.

I must say I have been obsessed with these lately.

Raphaels and pims are always great too though

One of my dream cats in that size range is the Harlequin Lancer Catfish - Bagroides Melapterus first saw one at a LFS so many years ago at only 3” a baby and it was breathtaking how it was patrolling the tank like a shark in the middle column

Another one I've not heard of. This guy looks to have a huge mouth for 4 inches! That's awesome. Absolutely had the same build as a redtail. Love it. I noticed in that link someone said not to expect it to stop growing at 4 inches. Have you personally seen these get any bigger or is 4 topped out? Great suggestion my friend

This is a gorgeous fish. How do they behave with others and what's the biggest you seen or heard of? That black and Yellow pattern is stunning. I'm guessing these guys come our during the days as well?

have no direct experience with those cats. Just seen them once IRL and never forgot about them. I know they are peaceful by nature and is easily bullied by more aggressive fish I could be wrong though with my research

Fishman Dave Fishman Dave do you have
experience or have those guys before?? thebiggerthebetter thebiggerthebetter any come across those harlequin lancers in your rescue?
