Yepp :) Its been an interesting day. and a good story ill start off

It has been a mad day all day and me and my 3 other collegues have all been busy and had several customers waiting and after a few hours and still going strong i ask a lady and her husband if she needed any help or assistance. And she said that she bought a fish from us a week ago which wiped out her whole tank. So my immediate thought was that it brought a disease into the setup.

So i talked to her and it turns out that she wanted a fish to help eat and control the snail population in her tank. So my boss reccomended and sold her a little (2") checquer board sandloach, and she asked him if it would be ok with guppy fry and he said yes as he had 6 in a 4' enler fry tank at his home with no problems. and she said that it had eaten about 200 young guppies and a few other fish as they had vanished.

I highly doubted that it was the loach as i know they are mellow and it may have eaten one or two but it certainly wouldnt have been capeable of taking out 200+ in a few days.

So she asks for my boss and i go and grab him and apologise to his customers and after this i get backto work and help some more people. And then later as it calmed down my boss told me that he spoke to her and said he was sorry but doubted it was the loach but offered to give her a good amount of adult guppies and endlers, for the trouble. But she said no it must have been our water and was going to make a complaint so he got a test strip and tested the water from the tank the loach came out of and it was near perfect and the tank has no sign of disease so it couldnt have introduced somthing so he said it must have been her water and asked her to bring a sample in for testing. But she got all agressive and apparently so did her husband

My boss by this point was pretty pissed i was told, so he said well ive offered to replace your losses and you wont take it and insist its our fault so you can leave my shop and she was saying stuff on the way out about hows shes going to go onto the internet and say what a terrible store we run and make loads of complaints and go into the local free adds and make an advert to say boycot the shop but what she forgets is that if she does that then she can get fined or punished for slander. its our first complaint in 2yrs and not even our fault. People like that really spoil your day you know?

People like that can get annoying when youre just in their vicinity...
Dont worry dude, everyone on MFK will back you up if that dumbass posts bad stuff on the internet about you.
 
Oo...I would hate a custome like that...

How would the loaches tank water have even got into he water?????
 
Yup.... Almost bought one of those when i was a noob at fishkeeping... Petsmart also says pacus can live in a 30gal and i think they say snooks can live in 30gals as well...
 
Man, my first wish was a Managuense...I had a 8 gallon hex all picked out...until I relaized it was the same thing as the Jaguar in the display tank lol...and thus began the buying of monster fish...
 
ha ya. i wanted to say something but didnt wanna deal with the people there. i was surprised to see them there cuz ive been wanting one and the lfs always runs out. but the lfs wont let u try a 20 gallon tank on em. im about to save one of those at petsmart now haha
