The last week has been pretty stupid -
First off this regular guy comes in carrying in 3 cannister filters and asks for his money back, we opened them up and there was water in them, he said he hadent used them and had no idea how water could have gotton in their and there was a broken latch on every filter, tosser. Then he was telling me how he's buying 2 8ft's and gonna stock em with rare fish no one else has and he travels more than 2 hours to get fish and he is the only one in brisbane to do so. He told a workmate a different story, how he already has an 8ft stocked and he is getting another 8ft, but he is getting rid of 3 cannister filters? (yer right F***er).
Then he came into the fish room and requested me to catch him a Jar, Barra and a Tandan and he will be back in 30 mins to pick them up, i got the styro box ready with water and waited for him to come back, to my suprise he actually came back. I finished putting the fish into the box and went to get some tape about 5 metres away, and he told me to tape it, i said thats what im going to get, He said good otherwise you wouldnt be doing your job, I said Mate i no how to do my job properly allright, (in a stern voice well i raised it a bit because it pissed me off), he said nothing. As we were walking out we had some FX5's on sale, he said he's gonna buy a whole pallet for his tanks soon and money doesnt matter, i just said cool and walked off.
This dude is off his meds, he has also ripped the store off $300 about a year ago so no one likes him, hopefully he will stay away this time.
Probably doesnt seem like a biggy to you guys but i really dont like this guy with a passion! $%##&*(%#%&^%^&, Bullsh** Artist!

Heres a story which recently happened to me. I've been looking around for a decent size male jaguar cichlid to breed with my female. I tried trying the local petshops but no luck. So i decided to call in petco to ask them if they had any. I asked them if they had jaguar cichlids and immediaely they hung up. I called again thinking they accidently hung up and the man starts flipping out on me saying how I'm immature and no they don't sell jaguars. Me starting to get pissed off, just calmly said " Sir, first of all a jaguar cichlid is a fish also known as managuense, and second you shouldn't yell at your customers like that". The man did not apologize and hung up the phone on me again. I go to the store to see that they did have jaguars in stock. And what really pisses me off is that they were labeled jaguar cichlid.........
Here's Some thing funny. Every week day my brother has to do drivers school and it is right next door to a petsmart so of course I go in and look at fish. Well the last time I went in there they had some baby sunset dwarf platys so I asked an employee (the only one I know is knowledgable) about the fish, she said that they had just gone back in with the adults. I asked her why and apparently they had taked all of the smaller fry and put them in a seperate ten gallon so that they could have a better chance of surviving. I asked her why she moved them back in with the adults as they were still very small and she said that managment found out that all of the baby fish were in a seperate tank and threw a fit. Apparently pet smart isn't allowed to charge any one for a baby fish so if it is about the size of a grain of rice it's free. I asked her if she could get me one adult and one baby or atleast the only one that I saw in there. She then proceded to fish them out.
I came back the next day and found two seperate employees that were suprisingly smart. Talked to them for a bit before I looked around. Their mollies had fry in the tank all of the little babies were so cute, and to my delite they had another sunset platy baby. So I went and got an employee and again got a free baby fish. So far all of the fish I have gotten from there recently are doing good.

I've had petsmart employees tell me the opposite, and in a rude way, which is why it is notable. This happened last year. I go into a petsmart and they had a pair of red bay snook and a cloud of fry in one of their tanks. I ask the dude "hey how much for the fry, can i have some?" He says "No! absolutely not! We are not allowed to sell fish that are not properly counted for inventory". I tell him, "Ok I understand, I've managed a similar store, none of that stuff is accurate as there are no exact counts, which also doesn't make up for fish that die and are consumed by other fish...Is there any way I can get them?" Then he says all rudely "No, because we can't sell them, and one of the employees is taking them". My beef with this was the manner in which he said it, and that he made it seem like he couldnt sell due to "company policy", but will give them to his buddy who works there. With these big stores I find it unfair to the customers when employees call dibs on a fish but will only mention it if u ask for the fish. At least put a not for sale, or 'sold' sign, otherwise it comes off as rude to customers.
Weird because his reason for not being able to sell them is why I got mine free, huh find another employee and ask them the reply might be different.
