Im never amazed at customers! LOL i get at least 4 customers a week wanting to keep 10 tetras and an oscar in a 10 gal! LOL! Not truly related but i had a customer call in today asking for our rates and how long it would take to trim his birds flight feathers. I calmly explain that that is not a service we offer here. He BLOWS up telling me the other Petco did it for him and blah blah blah. I again calmly (thank God im a ref, otherwise i'd allow my a'hole to come out in me!) explain that it is against company policy and ask if they did it when he purchased the bird. Again he BLOWS up and asks my name and my managers name which i politely gave! And this is all after i told him the number for the avian vet we use in store! Some people.....I have a billion of these stories lol! Who here has had the middle school kid who just wont shut up??? Ill tell you one statement this one kid said outa his 40 min convo with me. And i quote "I got bit by a cobra once, he was de-venomised, but it still hurt like hell!" I mean i love kids but how rediculous lol!

I diont work there but when i went to get my Silver Awo' and the 3 other fish i ened up walking out with too ( £99.40 for 4 fish is probily the most i have spent on 4 fish ) ,
Anyway back to the subject , i walked in had a look about before i said i want the Silver' , a family of 3 with a girl about 14 and boy about 15 and without looking at the fish went up too the sales person and told him they want a sucking fish and 1 Guppy , the boy went off to look at the tanks and must of noticed i got a Tire Track Eel and was looking in the same tank where my fish came from and shouted and i mean shouted his mum over and said I WANT THAT FISH THERE ! which was a Snakehead ?( Only about 4inch but they do get big and aggressive dont they ? ) So she went over and told him i will have a look and a think . The Girl came over and looked at the tank with the 2.5foot Clown Knife and was saying then started to get loader and was basicly shouting WE ARE GETTING THAT , I WANT THAT ONE THERE .
I couldn't stop laughing , i was really wanting to ask want size tank they had but i could not be bothered to get into an argument about the fish they WANT and the size of tank the have , luckly i walked out with my 4 fish before any fish came out the tanks for that family .
So thats a Sucking fish , 1 guppy , a Snakehead and a ClownKnife .

I know . I was really wanting to ask the Question to them about thier tank , but i heald back because i know the the Sales guy i that was on that day which is also the manarge will not take any fish out of the tanks until he know everything about what size tank they will be going in , current stock , water Per' , and others . So i don't think the snakehead or the Clown knife would of been sold that day to them , maybe the so called sucking fish might of been sold O' and that 1 GUPPY they asked for .
Most of the time i can judge how a customer will act. There are a lot of times where i know im getting into an arguement before i do! LOL, thank god for our policy of not selling a fish if any ? comes to mind about said animals well being! I can just say no, and i love that!!!!!!

He also said that i could buy the Brown Banded Bamboo Shark newly-born pup and put it in a 30. Zebra Moray had no shelter in its tank, mislabeled Golden Spadefish for a Batfish. He also told me that if I get 30gal freshwater I should get Tricolor Sharks, ID Sharks, and STINGRAYS. When I said IDs get big he said "Yeah but not for a few years." Probably those are the FW fish he was getting in the next order. Idiot.
ID sharks shouldn't be kept IMO. They get large and are notorious for breaking tanks! Why we sell em i do not know lol!
I am only young so instantly all the lfs workers no more than me, i wen't to a ls and was checking out there natives. I was playing stupid to test the guy and asked if the Golden rams and barra and frontosa would go great..... he said That would be a perfect mix. :S
We get loads of customers who ask for 'sucking fish' when i explain about plecos and give them a few examples they says no its not blah, blah, blah.
