I don't work at an lfs,however I couldn't help hearing a conversation between an employee and some guy.Of course the lfs carry's blacktips(only two).So the guy points he wants one out.The employee goes into the backroom to get something.He comes out with a large styrofoam transporting box,which is lined by a plastic layer in which tankwater is poured into.So the employee has somethings that looks like a fishing net,so before he is about to net one,he asks how large of a tank the guy has. Apparetly he was planning on putting it in his "big" 30 galThe employee says it won't work.So the guy says ok and goes to point at the guinea fowl puffer,the employee says no.The guy then just gets pissed and walks away.

There was a really funny moment but i was in the shop at the time.
A college who went to sparsholt fisheries college for 3 years and keep loads of fish like cichla, rays etc...
He has a fish room with 4x 220 tanks.
He had a customer come into the shop who wanted some 2" Oscars to go in with his big tank, he asked and said it was a 2x1x1 tank. My college turned him down and said you cant buy one, he said he wanted to keep it with his neons and platys.
The customer then started insulting his knowledge and started saying he wanted to complain to the manager and got agressive.
They had to escort him of the premesis.

i don't so much mind the people that ask the stupid questions, cause plain and simple - they just may not know. its the people that argue with me about something like i don't know what im talking about. cause apparently you and your 3 year old with comet goldfish in a bowl will be able to do better with an oscar in there than anyone else ever has, and who am i - THE FREAKIN GUY WORKING AT THE FISH STORE, to tell you it wont work. not probly wont work, but 100% wont work - yep, im the rude idiot.
SW LFS told me that SW is much easier. He told me that he kept having to buy fish every day. I asked him what FW he previously had. He said ID Sharks, Tricolor Bala Sharks and Silver Arowanas...
