Congrats!! I bet you'll come back with some good stories . When do you start? What part do you work in? Many moons ago I got a job at petsmart..doing the fish/small animal stuff. I didn't last very long...haha...good luck.

Thanks lol, as soon as my drug test results come back they're going to call me to start my training (25+ hours of videos, uhg) - I'll be working Fish/Small Animals along with some stocking and cash register duty. Should be interesting and im sure i'll definitely come back with some stories within the next couple weeks

I called a local store and this is what I got.

Me- "hey, do you have any geo's?
Employee- "Any what?'
M-"Geo's, geophagus, or satanoperca juruparii?"
E-"Is that a fish food?"
M-"No, it's a fish, they're also called earth-eaters."
E-"No, we don't sell dirt for fish, and I don't suggest that you put dirt in your aquarium."
M-"No, no, no. The fish is called an earth-eater."
E-"I've don't think there's such thing as a fish that eats dirt."
M-"So, you don't have any?"
E-"If you going to put dirt in the tank, I don't think I'd sell it to you if we did."
M-"Thank you for your time." *click*

soo today i went to the petstore and a girl i know thru a few people just started working there. she rang up a $20 african featherfin catfish for me and charged me $1.09 for it. rang it up as a tiny common pleco. there common plecos are less than 2 inches. it was almost 4 inches i saw her later that day with one of my friends and told her thanks for hooking me up. she then realized what she did. oh well, score one for me.

I was in my lfs the other day and I overheard a woman talking to one of the employees about a buying a betta fish and "tank". She picked up a small bowl thing and asked "can I keep one in this?" Honestly this tiny container probably wouldn't have been able to keep the fish fully underwater. The employee told the woman that it would be too small. The woman then replied "That's ok, they don't need much." followed by the most frighteningly sinister laugh I have ever heard. Honestly it sent shivers down my spine. I've had nightmares about it ever since.

@NC: IME keep your cool and follow Corporate Policies. You'll be able to suprise a few people since your an MFKer , I've had people go nuts when I've told them my biggest fish is ~18"
