Knock it out before this good thread gets closed because two bickering kids derailed the whole thing.
There used to be this really good pet shop a couple of minutes from my house, but the main guy is trying to finish his college degree and so its usually his parents who take care of the store. I'm sorry to say it has gone down.
I don't blame them, but they have no idea what they're doing. They tried to sell me a small Senegal for like $50. NO.

A great LFS customer story....I walked into Petsmart about 5 years ago with a bag of Giant Danios. I told them they could have them, they were way too active for my tank and driving the other fish nuts. The manager told me he couldn't take them, but a local lfs would. I picked up a copy of TFH and left. I brought the fish to the recommended LFS. They not only took them but gave me credit as well. They had a much better selection than Petsmart. I started buying livestock from that LFS instead of Petsmart. After spending thousands at the store that Petsmart told me to take the fish to, I eventually got a job there and still work there today. After seeing the TFH ad for MFK, I joined.
