I saw these yesterday in Petco. They were in the planted koi tank. They didn't look very koi like though. I don't know where they were prior to this, but wherever they were they had every single fin nipped off of them.

Sorry for the bad video, couldn't get a photo with my phone so I did video.

Those are iridescent sharks. But, they're catfish. :D

ID catfish/sharks. That happens sometimes with their fins. I see silver dollars without fins sometimes at my LFS.

Well, apparently the whole fin rotting thing is going around the phoenix area. I heard a lady talking yesterday about her guppy tank and how all the fins were deteriorating and they kept dying. She was looking for something to put in the tank...she then explained that her water was really cloudy, etc etc.... I'm guessing she has no idea about the concept of a water change.

Also, non fish, but in the parking lot of Petsmart yesterday I watched a lady try to get her dog out of the car for about 15 minutes. She was driving this huge suv and parked right next to this little car. There was hardly even room to open the door. I'm guessing the dog was fairly large since she couldn't pull it out. The poor dog probably didn't have enough room to even get out. It was quite funny though, she'd yank on the leash and yell at it. Then she'd walk away from the car and call for it. When that didn't work, she'd get back in the car and talk all nice to it and then grab the leash and yank again. After 15 minutes, she gave up, got back in the car and drove away. I tried to get video with my phone, but it didn't come out.

I can't believe I just read this entire thread. There goes three hours of my life... at least it was funny!

i was fired a few years back from my lfs for not having a high enough sales record. mostly due to the fact i wouldnt do stuff like...
sell 10 bala sharks to someone with a 10g (the guy went mental and tried to swing for me) and...
that coz the bays of fish were 9 tanks on each bay sharing a filter/sump if one tank had ick i'd take all 9 tanks off sale. they didnt like stuff like that :D

not really a fish story...but a customer story. the other day at work, a guy walks in, goes to the bathroom, and leaves. the next day, he does the same thing, only this time, he decided to take a dump on the floor of our bathroom cover it with toilet paper and paper towels, and then leave. those 2 times were the only times i have ever seen this guy come in. and of course, guess who was elected to clean it up...
