Ok all time favorite. . .

I was feeding the fish one night when a really obnoxious out of control 5 year old came running over and started tugging on my shirt and yelling at me that he wanted a fish. I somehow was able to not yell at him and told him that he needed to have his mommy and daddy tell me that they wanted a fish. So off running and screaming about fish through the store he goes. He comes back in about 30 seconds to tell me that his parents said no but I HAVE to get him one anyway. I told him no a few times and proceeded to ignore him, when I hear a splash . . . I looked over and there he is arms up to his shoulders in the lowest tank before I could get to him he pulled his arms out and started to run. . . I got to him before he could get away and grabbed his hands, I opened them up to find a little tetra. The kid seriously climbed in the tank and grabbed a lamp eye tetra! He told me he was gonna get his own fish since his parents said no . . .

Anyway its kinda sad, but I have never laughed harder after being so angry in my life.

I like how a 24 inch pacu needs 30+ gallons at petsmart, and walmart sells special ones that one get 10 inches long.

I was surprised to see that the petsmart in the town near mine changed that on the tag....they took a marker and added another zero

Hopefully to make it 300g and not TL 100"!

I had a customer tell me, "I think because I feed my Pacu quality pellets is why it grows so fast!".

He also said the Pacu was like 20" in a 55 gallon.

i went to a fish store by my grans, and they have real rareties there. i mean i have never seen an electric eel for sale (not the lfs i go to anyway) and they have one, and a 'rainbow' snakehead, and dats (never ever even heard of dats in the uk). basically the old manager was really in to his 'special' fish, so he left a couple of weeks ago and is now in the trusting hands of 2 teenagers (no offence to the younguns on here) but they obv dont know anything.
so iv asked about the electric eel purely out of curiosity, and how big it ids at the moment so they replied 'what? you expect us to get a tape measure out?'...ok cheeky gits but then i saw a sign with 'large frontosas £69.99' but they were in a tank along the top and i couldnt see. my mum said get 10 and a new tank if they are 4"+. so i asked how big are they, as i cant see them, and once again 'what? you expect us to measure every single one for you?'
i turned round and said
'well you just lost yourselves £700 for the fish and at least £1500 for the tank and everything else! all because you werwe rude!'

sorry felt i had to say that, it really annoyed me! my mum had given me her credit card ready to go and get it!!!!

more these stories are hilarious!!!!

i dont work in an lfs but i love it when noobs insist they are right like in an lfs by me one of the guys i know who works there had to tell this woman that an oscar would not live in a 10g and she insisted she had friends who were 'fish experts' who told her it could. Anyway she got soooooo anoyed when he wouldnt sell it to her and started ranting about how they sold poor quality clown fish which died as soon as you got them he asks her what the salinity and size of the tank are and she says "what do you mean by salinity" and he says how much salt do you put in she just looks at him really strangely and he explains about how they need salt, but she still insists that they can be acclimatised to freshwater and just leaves.
i have a 13 year old oscar and never put salt in the water just tap water lol
