haven't we all had that experience where you are in the LFS and you over-hear stupidity taking place?

what do you do? do you get involved, or do you just let the insanity continue?

personally, if it's something I actually know about, I try to offer some friendly advice . . . doesn't always work, but I've been surprised how often it does

i get in to trouble most of the time when i butt in hehehe
but its worth educating a noobie than knowing a fish would suffer

Had a customer today come in looking for clown loaches.

Her: Hi do you have clown loaches
Me: Yes we do but they are quarentined at the moment, we will have a new batch next week.
Her: oh ok (walks away)
Her:ARE THESE CLOWN LOACHES? (while she was walking away she saw the tank)
Me: yes
Her: can i have 4
Me: no sorry these are the quarentines ones i was telling you about
but they seem allright
(I showed her what was wrong with them, Whitespot/Costia)
Her:Ohhh right, so how do you fix that?
(I told her how to fix it, just the doses and how to do them and stuff)
Her: oh ok....................So can i have them all for free if i go home and treat them?
Me: :O, No, we dont sell diseased fish and we dont just give away fish.....-.-

the lady had a confused look on her face
I just said anything else i can help you with?
She said no and walked away confused.

Some customers lol

hahahah that was funnnnyyy

well today i realized something and it may amuse only me, but i've noticed that the people who want a tank but don't want to buy a tank come in and there is one action they cannot resist and it happens over and over again. said people will walk past all the tanks looking at them, checking prices ya know normal stuff. but without fail even though they know they aren't buying a tank people cannot resist this one action.....
what is it you ask? well i'd say a good 75% of these people will walk up to a larger tank we carry (by larger it's usualy only a 75 but huge to average people haha) look inside through the glass real close then lift up the lid lean over on their tip toes and look down inside the tank from the top then walk away.

it makes me laugh every time because i don't know what the draw is but people must do it before leaving without fail. like i said boredom does funny things to a person (haha me) and this has come to amuse me greatly.

2 hours well wasted :P
Once at a pettsmart I dissuaded a lady from buying a bichir for her son's 10 gallon with neon tetras. I'm not allowed there anymore :P

I't what they get for selling 50$ bichirs...
