If I keep an RTC in a ten gallon, he'll only get six inches, right?

(technically, yes. I've seen this happen, in a TFH q&a column. Author said there was nothing you can do, fish was five years old, that's as big as it will get, already stunted, it will die soon, you have failed.)

I was watching Kenny vs. Spenny on comedy central, and they were doing a "first one to touch the ground loses" contest... spenny was sitting in a hanging chair, and kenny put a baby red bellied piranha in a kritter keeper and a full grown american eel in a kiddie poopl below him  he was saying that the american eel was electric.

ive always found it funny to mess with chain store staff who dont know much. ex: the card would read somthing like managuense and I will say, hey can I get one of those jags? or whatever abbreviated nickname in the hobby for fish and they look at me like im crazy. probly not good to do that but funny to me everytime.

I was working at Superpetz. A guy had 3 Pirahnas in a 75. All 3 died within the 7 day guarantee. I gave him 3 more because the water test came out OK. 4 days later the second triplet is dead. Talked to him for 1/2 hour to try to come up with a clue as to why he lost them.
Turns out he was spraying Glade air freshener INTO the water because, "It was stanky!"

not fish but this happened today and truly shows what kind of people are in this world. guy wants a feeder mouse so i go get one well he doesn't want to pay the $2.99 for it so asks for a frozen one (cheaper) i go get that, well the size we have is too large for his snake so he gets a live.

we send them home in cardboard boxes and it's all ready to go. well he asks for a plastic bag so i get him one, and turn around to ring him up. well when i turn back around to get the money he has the mouse in the plastic bag and before a word comes out of my mouth he whirls it around and smashes it on the store counter!!!!! bag breaks, blood splatters a girl i work stands horrified and jus stairs and makes a high pitched oooo noise.

luckily only a few other customers in store, only one witnessing it. but to make matters worse this guys young son is right there watching and doesn't even flinch. that poor kid will never have respect for animals, just as his father. i finish ringing him up and m manager talks to him n tells him he just can't do that inside the store again.

but seriously? sick

I overheard a customer requesting to order and reserve an asian arowana from the LFS keeper. He was with his girlfriend and acted pretty stuck up and like as though he knew it all about aros saying, they grow this big, they grow better with worms, and pellets are useless, yada yada. And then he said:

"It must be about 4 inches and with very bright colour. My budget is about $15-20" When can collect it?."

The LFS keeper told the customer he'll grow one for specially for him.

It was funny then when i heard it. (= Okay, at least I found it funny.

i hate people like that... its disgusting, how they think something else's life has no value...

(Sick man that poor mouse)

Here's a couple short ones (you like this one plec)

Lady comes up to pay for fish a Pleco Asked her the basic questions....
Tank Size: Bowl WTF a bowl, I tell her they can get 12"+ (IDK if it was a rhino or common) She says oh well they never get that big ?

Another group of customers came in 20gal they must of had 8 mollies/platys and 2 gouramis ::nilly: She said hope these don't die....Under my breath "probably will" next day DEAD FISH what a suprise?

While off duty couple of people looking at Plecs asked what there tank size was they said 20gal So I said try a trio of Ottos they're better....Mission Succesful :) That's why I work there.

I had a dream I caught an American Eel... never caught one in my life... my dream pet. Ideally, I could keep one in a 125 and see how long it lives... if it is not allowed access to saltwater for breeding purposes... it could outlive me. Apologies for ellipses. That is how my mind works. (Once heard of a rostrata living to 80... don't remember where).
