Beach Boys, Jan & Dean (recorded a lot of the same songs usually at a slightly faster tempo), Surfaris (famous for Wipe Out and Surfer Joe) An interesting aside, the Surfaris were in the recording studio to record Surfer Joe. the producer told them they needed a second song, or Surfer Joe would go on both sides of the record. Wipe Out was put together on the spot, right there in the studio.

The story of Wipe Out:

We put a sound system on our wake boat and like to wake surf with the old time surfer music blasting.

I grew up with a lot of the punk rock, industrial, and dance music of late 90s Seattle. There was a bit of a surf revival that was a good time. Man or Astro Man always put on a great show, and one of the bands that always played the youth centers and the all-ages gigs Gashuffer started a side project called the Del Lagunas that is still going to this day as far as I know, I sure cant afford Seattle these days.
