Feeding Monster Fish

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I feed once every other day. They seem to be more active like that and are healthy.

Depends on the fish.

I feed randomly...sometimes every day, then wait a few then go one, then wait a day and then go every day again. Its really varied. It seems to keep them active and happy.

2 times a week does keep they active

every other day for the dat and aro and every day for the geos
my tig feeds with the dat/aro but i woyld rather feed every day until a little bigger but the dat would just eat it.
my dat eats 15 2'' fish every other day and would eat twice that if i let it

I feed my fish every other day except for my gt cause he's just a baby. It's everyday for him.

I feed several times a day, but in small amounts. Its kinda easy to tell when my fish are hungry; geophagus root through the sand, ATF chases other fish, puffer swims up and down, danios and congo tetra nibble on the plants but dont actually eat it.

So when I see a particular fish doing whatever, I throw in a couple pellets or pieces of shrimp. I do believe in fasting them for a day or two, and then do a massive feed and clean up.

And I almost have my ATF trained on pellets, by offering no feeders or shrimp for a week. He'll take more and more pellets each time but I want him to grow so I throw in a shrimp.
