my oscars get 2 king prawns in the morning and a few pellets befor i go to bed and thats every day.

Feeding Monster Fish

i feed my preds a variety of frozen foods (silversides,catfish fillets,perch fillets,shrimp,krill,live mice,basically anything from the fish market,) i feed them every other day but sometimes ill fast them for about 3-4 days and i do 70% waterchanges every sun. also on my 125 g i have the 40 gallon wet/dry, 2 magnum 350's and a fluval 450 so it keeps the water crystel clear!
I feed my smaller fish-juvies- every other day to two days. My larger fish I feed twice a week and feed them alot at that time. Also about once every couple of months I will fast them for a week. This is good for their system. Most wild predatory fish don't eat everyday, let alone a couple times a day everyday. They usually will come upon a school of fish and then gorge themselves and then won't eat for a couple of days until they find food again.
I feed my fish daily, until they are bursting.
I found that I have to do this to keep the aggression down in my Jag and Pike.
If they are full they are happy and peacefull, if I skip a feeding there aggression seems to rise.

I feed my fishes everyday, usually two small meals a day, except for the large cats. These are fed every three days or so... Not a huge meal, too. This keeps them healthy and active, searching for food, IMO.
