Feeding small gar?

I would trust mosquito larvae I’d say it’s probably the lowest risk love food there is. I just actually managed to catch 4 fry myself today.

That is awesome. How did you catch them, just a net? There are lng in the River that runs through my town so I would be stoked to catch something like that.

just netted then out with a fine aquarium net. It’s taken me years of searching to actually find a spot. Gars are probably my second favorite fish after Australian lungfish.

I literally just yelled ha!! When I saw that, brilliant. I need to go start looking for them now.

Or trap/kill them if they become mosquitos

I've got buckets outside with them then every morning and night I net out 20 or 30 for mine. They're all eaten after a couple hours.

Just the 4 gar fry and one or two tiny random fish I netted with them.

Ok I have 3 gar fry. What does your tank set up look like.

I have mine in a 3 gallon for now because it was the only thing I had but there getting a 20 gallon in a few days
