After about a year he had eaten everyone and tripled his size and is now about 15"+. He has eaten everything I've put in the tank including a giant sleeper goby that was almost as long and much wider, large tire track eel and a few others I was sure he would leave alone. He had that goby hanging out of his mouth for hours tryin to get it down and when I woke up there was no trace of it left. After reading through this site I'm now pretty sure what I have is an Armatus.
Best fish EVER~!
LUCKY!!! Especially if you paid the price of a scomb for it!
The red-tail in this thread came under my possession in February of this year. He got me hooked on the hydrolycus sp. and now Im a proud owner of an armatus my self. Unfortunately the two fought too much so I traded him for an 11.5" NTT.
