so, in the meantime my pair has laid eggs again...
Well, at least they tried it.
Most of the eggs had fungus or were unfertilized.
But what I got was so stunningly beautiful that I want to share it with you:
The female in its breeding dress:

The female busy with placing the fry, coloured in a deep brown black:

The male in its breeding dress, being already bigger than the female:

I am very happy about the development of this pair, unless the bad spawning success.
But since I already have young Jacks I don´t want any more fry.
By the way, they are still doing very fine in the tank with the pair.
Even in spawning period, they accept every move of the big ones and no one gets beaten up.
Everyone found its place in this tank and I hope they keep this behaviour.
I want to try a group keeping with these fish, since pair keeping ended up badly some times.
If there are some more fish that share the place, there are no real territories anymore.
The dominant behaviour is almost gone, the malehas become really friendly for a JD.
I will see how long this works, if it doesn´t I will have to give the youngsters or the grown JDs away to a lfs...
