FINALLY - photos of Flowerhorn PLATINUMS

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I have been talking about these guys for a while, and after many requests for photos, I posted some up, and now you say they aren't FH's. Go figure.

For the record - they ARE FH'S. I know their parentage, actually.

I'd like your opinions on the coloration which I think is highly unusual for FH's.

the color is so unusual, they look nothing like fh. take better pics, or pull them out and hold it in ur hand for some pics for a better ID.

The color is so unusual - and it is exactly what you see in my photos. When I said my photo skills are limited, I was referring to the fact I'm using a built-in camera on my laptop, so to take a photo, I have to hold the whole computer next to the tank. What you see is what they really do look like - crazy looking fish.
For you that question what they are, one of their parents is a pure jing kang, and they are from two different sets of parents. Thailand imports.
As for the color, this ghostly white REALLY is their color....

What are you thinking on the shape?

The male is strangely triangular at the head/mouth, and the female is strangely rounded... The male at this point looks almost like a piebald Tilapia lol

Here's my Midas that I bought for my girlfriend. Just thought it would be nice to compare and see how FUNKY these FH's look.
Hope you like him too.

see, thats what ur fh look like, which is why i dont think they are fh? they could be tho, jus odd colors. if u take some pics out of the water it'll solve everything. easier then holdin ur computer up to ur tank, bring ur fish to the computer

They definitely are 1/2 jing kang - no question. The color is why I got them in the first place - they are my first FH's so I wanted to make sure I got something really unique. Guess I did lol

If I took the fish out to the computer, it would drip water all over my keyboard - don't want that... But the color is exactly as it seems in the photos, freaky as it looks.
