Looks like all my plumbing went perfect...but I noticed water in the pan..I have checked and rechecked and no water. Now I cant get around to the other side to see exactly where its coming from but its leaking and its not so slow.... Is there a drain valve on this? I cant remember...I'm looking online now

Edit: shoot, there is and I cant reach it...this is going to be fun....

Loosen the multiport valve clamp and rotate the chamber. Have the plug facing forward for next time.

I was able to get to it....somehow or another. I gave it a slight turn, like two of them and no more leaks. I found another leak at the pump, it was slow as well but did a few slight turns as well and no more leak. Im going to continue looking it over for a while but so far so good and I'm happy :)

Now I need to test the backwash. How long does a typical backwash last?

What? I can't hear you, the filter running is so load.
There's a sight glass near the waste outlet. Once it looks clear...it's done.

Well then I guess my work here is done :) Next I get to add fish. Just need to cleanup now

Awesome thread and great work. Can I ask, and sorry if it's a noobish question, but can the same be achieved buy using a couple of large pond filters, say ones that can support 12000lt ponds and a couple of 10000ltr per hour pumps? You can get good pond canister filter with built in UV and backwash functionality, large bio and mechanical filtration built in, so will this work? This is for those who can't afford Ultimas. Any one tried this?

My 500 is pretty much silent...my 265 with the Emperor 400s are loud, wish I was able to run all my tanks on this one filter :)

That's because of the camo bro.......I can barely see it too. What's the deal with the ammo box?
