Thanks guys,
Its been a while since I have been on here so i figured i would post an update.
The TI has some spotting but not as much as my large female.
The P14 still has pretty small claspers but they are growing. I am still trying to convert him onto shrimp. The only thing I can get him to eat is earthworms. He came from a guy in Ohio. I think it was originally CJfrontlover's pup?? not entirely sure, the guy i got it from wouldnt really say.

Added sand and 200 rosy reds this weekend to test the tank prior to connecting the the two tanks again.uploadfromtaptalk1358790223262.jpg

Im going to put the rays in next weekend, most likely. I took one of the fx5s off thier tank to cycle this one so it should be fine. I also plan on cycling them together most likely Friday after work so I can watch them carefully as I am still a little concerned about a PH swing. If they start acting funny it will be easier to do a water change on the "Sump" and seperate the tanks again. I havent lost any feeders and ill move my discus over on Wed just to validate again. The strips say there is a slight increase on the larger tank but not much. (I also dont believe the strips.) But i did move some drift wood over to help.
I went with Home Depot "Arena sand" it is made by quickcrete. It is finer than I would like so I will need to see how much it sticks to them. I figured I would try it and see. It was only $3 for a 50lb bag. Even though it says it is washed, dried and screened, I really needed to wash it good.

Wow looks very good complete. Might want to buy like 5 angels and toss in there as they are more sensitive and still cheap enough. They will let you know if the discus will be alright.
