With that much food I would say atleast 10 packets and another 1 3/4 cup of water. Microwave the water and gelatin then pour into blender and blend it together. Pour into baggies and lay flat.

Forgot to mention I added pellets to mine as well. First batch was massivore and cichlid gold then shrimp pellets on second batch with more spinach

hmm well i kinda broke the blender on this one lol. so a whisk and my arm was doing the mixing with the geletan water with the smelly rest of it.

i ended up adding 9 packets of gelatin, 3.5 cups of water im sure it would have been perfect with what you suggested though as i think its a little watery but im just now reading yours lol.

my arm is tired and im hoping it sets up good in the end though. i will let you all know.

also could the people that posted what they did earlier also put in the consistancy they had like fishdog did as well.

well it turned out well its stuck together very good. probably 1-1/2 cup less would have been perfect. but i filled the bottom of 3 gallon baggies with this and am actually pleased with the results. i will tweak it around next time but for first try feeding i had a 50% success rate with the others nibbling on it. will try again tonight to see what happens.

When I make a batch with Shrimp and Tilapia I label it "Navy Bean Soup" hence the color it reminds me of. I have a different batch that involves more Mazuri and commercial pellet that I label "Poopy-Diaper". Both of these labels serve as fair warning to my wife. She understands and agrees with the labels. :)-FM

* For future reference:
Blenders are not the best choice for batching. The heated water and the thick(ening) paste reeks hell on 'em. Use the blender to chop or blend dry goods, use a knife for the tilapia or shrimp. Use a whisk to put it all together. Just a thought*

I have been wanting to get mine on to pellets for the last six months. I am looking forward to giving this a try. Thank you for sharing!

every fish in my big tanks loves this food.......and there is a variety of fish.

i am using shrimp, scallops, tilapia, pellets, flakes, a bit of garlic(seems to help entice appetite), and i am also crushing up a multi-vitamin.

for all of our fish chefs please put how much water you used as well and the consistancy in the water and so forth. i think with more clear directions more people will try.

and the $13 blender at wal-mart will not blend up the tilapia and shrimp gets a little thick for it. i will try the $19 blender next time ;)

also six one of my wc marbles would not eat pellots for nothing but she took to this right away, and another wc marble would only eat worms and nibble on tilapia and took to this as well. i want to thank firemedic as well as everyone else that has posted here! now all of my rays are eating better!

Note to self...don't use the nice cuisanart blender.

Gonna have to try this, my rays love pellets, but this seems like a good way to mix things up a bit.
