First Monster set up...

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Great tank setup's. You put a lot of time into them and everything look's great.

Very cool. Get those pics up!

I see all kinds of hot fish in your sig bro! Where the pics at :)

I too have a 220 gallon setup like yours, only mine is a reef tank, I do not use heaters, i use a chiller, my 180 gallon fresh with a Jardini Arowana in it uses a 300 watt stainless in the tank. If you have never used a sump and have ever let it go dry a heater is bad in sump. As long as your sump will "never" go below 2" of water you are fine. If it does, the heaters are not designed to shut off, they actually will overheat and can and have caused fires, I have witnessed this first hand, that is why my heaters all always in the tank.

Eventually I want to get my baby monsters off of live food. Although I have guppies in the tank here but they are almost all gone by now. :D

Check out my Oddball Ornate @ 3:00. He was born with a freaky looking tail. It is not damaged but just odd. Enjoy.

I cranked my tank up to 86 degrees and added salt cause I see some baby monsters scratching themselves. Just 9 more days and ick should be gone.

Wow. The tank looks really good.

Oh my god! That is a sweet tank. Love the variety of fish nice choices. What method of cycling did you use that was fast :)

I used Stability and lots mixed bio media.

Right on. Stability is the real deal. I can tell you from experience the more you shake the stuff the more consistent and effective it will be. Some of the spores like to stick to the sides etc.
