This was the last African I had. He and the jag lived in harmony for about 4 years if you can believe that! Then one day it was over. After a half hour in his mouth the Jag spit him out. I promptly removed the poor yellow lap and donated him to my LFS. I was shocked he survived that ordeal.

Welcome. Nice fish, however I'd have to agree they need a larger tank. In some of your pics they look to be gasping for oxygen... especially the third pic in the original group where they are all at the top of the tank. Just an FYI, most of your fish, if not all of them look to be central american... not south american. I really like your Jag... should be larger as already pointed out, but very nice looking. That Black Belt is top notch too!!! Keep us posted on what you decide to do with your fish and enjoy... I wish mine got along, but they are trying to kill each other every day!!!

Thanks for the info. Check out my other topic 'strange behavior' I was asking why all my fish gasp for air on top. Its always 2 days after a water change and the do it for about 2 days. Then they go back to normal... pinning it on nitrates n such as well as overstocked. Still strange they only do it for 2 days and shortly after a water change. I'm going to do more waterchanges and change out more water.
