Never use em'...
I had a friend who thought it would be okay to use them for any kind of fish small enough, he stuck a lil' Goldfish there, 3 days later...gasping for air, and died. Poor lil' guy...

Thats a really funny law. I wonder what the sentence is for keeping your fish in a fish bowl.

death by suffocation in a fish bowl!

I always wonder how companies sleep at night knowing that they advertise their tiny tanks as goldfish tanks, and don't make any other efforts to educate their customers on proper care. Last week i was considering writing letters to the companies, but i fear that one letter from me would not do much in the long run.

how would you go about something like that. I don't know sounds kind of fishy to me

The most unfortunite thing is that people do not do the research before getting a fish as a pet. If it was a cat or dog they would get every book up the ying yang and know about size and requirements for their pets. I have no clue on why people don't do the same for the fish. NOT only are they living creaatures, they need specialized enviroments. sigh, people can be quite frustrating.

It's simple. A dog or cat cost AT LEAST 20 dollars, while the fish these people are getting are as little as $0.25 and sometimes less. They just don't care, and some are even sicker and like to see fish tortured. I was at Walmart one day, and half the betta jars were empty, and the other half had 2 bettas and were overflowing with water. Its sick, but thats just how some people are.
