Hi so I’ve been keeping Amazon swords for about a year and every time they die, I get them when they are grown out of water so they turn yellow but then die. There are bite marks on the edges. The tank is stocked with leopard ctenopoma, pink tail chacius, Amazon leaf fish , feather fin squeakers, and purple gudgeon. No snails or plecos so idk what is eating them. Also have a uvb light and root tabs.

It's likely the Pinktail Chalceus that's nipping the Amazon Swords.

Probably chalceus. Most characins like biting plants.
As for the yellowing, that may just be that the tank lighting or nutrient levels aren’t good for the swords.
