Just wondering but top feeding insect eating fish.I'm aware that some of them are venomous but not sure which ones and it seems like defanging them would be too much of a hassle to go through.
defanging isn't too bad, you could just cut it's head off, what top feeding insect fish? African butterfly fish? Archer fish? killifish? arowana?

Oh none in particular.I was just wondering and asking for the sake of the didcussion.

oh ok, well depends on the size of the fish and the centipede. A 4 inch killifish can't eat a 3 inch centipede, an arowana will eat a centipede for sure, an african butterfly fish probably will, never seen it though, an archer fish might, they more eat crickets and other bugs like that, centipedes are more difficult for them to see, but I'm sure they would check it out and go after it. With the problem about fangs, you could just decapitate the centipede or stab it's head with a needle so it is dead

Slicing off the head should be quick and easy enough and of course size of the food and fish would play a huge part.It wouldn't make much sense to expect for a killie to eat a pede that is about equal to it in body length.

yeah, I've always fed mine crickets, I tried feeding him some centipedes that are a bit smaller, maybe 1 inch and he would eat them but he would poop out the entire thing so I decided to stop doing that and start feeding him crickets

Which fish did you try this with?

my killifish, he would eat the entire thing (they eat some BIG things, he ate a cricket about half the size of his body) but he would poop the entire thing out so I stopped feeding them to him because I felt like he wasn't digesting it and worried it might cause complications
What kind do you have? I've always wanted some Tanganyican killifish....Lamprichthys I think they are called or something like that but no one seems to ever bring them in.
