ok so i was bored yesterday and decided to go to petsmart (nothing around here) i saw a kenyi eating the fins and scales off of another albino something the same size about five in. its obvious they werent being fed they were starving. i turned to the guy taking care of the fish and told him what was happening and with a very sarcastic melotone voice that said i dont give a damn, he replied "oh yea look at that." then he just walked away! what the hell? if that was a cat or a dog people would be going ape ****. then after he walked away some chick walks up and asks me if i need help. there was an untouched version of the beatup one. beautiful fish. white, with a dorsal fin that starts out very light blue and fades into a bright red and a bright yellow tail fin. i was surprised that he was still there. i told her i wanted that one. she says ok let me throw this one away (the beat up one) and ill get you your fish. i said dont worry about it, ill take them both. i was so pissed that she wouldnt give me it free or even with a discount! she was about to kill it! and also at that jerk that did nothing. i know its just a fish, but theres no excuse to just let that happen. so i paid $13 for an almost dead fish and still had a 45min ride home. i got it home and put it in a quarentine tank by itself with some melafix and hes not doing so good. hes swimming upside down which is understandable because the only fin he has left is half of his dorsal fin. for taking such a beating hes still quite energetic. i guess what i need to know is if theres a chance for him since hes upside down and missing his fins and also how long till theyll grow back with the treatment? im patient enough to do it i just want to know. thank you for reading my novel lol.

and thats why i dont go to petsmart...my temper is already short if i had to deal with a guy like that...ill be waiting next to the cat litter n whoop his ass and shove his ass in a small dog crate =D

trust me i wanted to. i hope he does too. as long as it doesnt pose any health risks that hes upsidedown i think he'll be ok. hes showing a little more energy today and breathing normally. i tried to feed him and as expected he didnt eat. i hope he'll upright himself and eat soon.
There are so many threads about the how bad Petsmart sucks. I agree that the only job involving fish 90% of their employees should have is at Long John Silvers, but it is what it is. Their business plan isn't going to change until consumers stop shopping there. No offense to you....all of them sound like idiots, but your real power is in wallet.
It's no worse then the kid who tried selling my wife a "school of guppies" to go along with Jaguar cichlid she wanted. The only thing my local Petfart is good for is that it's close to the house if I run out of food.
