the metro treatment seems to have worked all the fish have recovered the females are all spawning like crazy, lol. sorry for the delay in response. Haven't lost a fish since I last posted about it. Feels good to be over this. Thanks guys, specifically framcosco.

They are mostly spreading out into general population now and things are looking really good. Fish I was concerned would die a couple months ago are spawning like mad now.

Just thought I'd share I'm doing the same metro ratio with repashy to treat some new fish and it is going great. Way less messy and smelly than the previous method.

There are now 4 20 gallon tanks on Hydro V sponge filters with (4) 2-3 inch peacock/hap or yellow lab cichlids per tank and a 40 gallon breeder with a 55 gallon OTB filter on it. with
(4) 2 inche yellow benga, (2) 2 inch frontosa, (1) 1.5 inch calvus.

Used to be 6 20 gallon tanks but the other fish passed and we consolidated and started up a 55 with those 2 sponge filters to quarantine other fish. I had the same notion water quality might be a culprit except that we loose the fish 24 hrs after a water change, and that is weird!

Not enough filtration and too small on the tank size. Mbuna need to have at least 48" foot print for cover and territory. A lot of aggression happens at night after lights out. Still looks like agression to me. If you're going to just mass dose fish without knowing what the problem is.....might as well use the toilet and start over.
