Fish room/Business progression thread

Just got word the Shrimp will be shipping out Tuesday. I have fish in my tanks right now, So I'm going to be clearing those out, Looks like i'm going to win the auction for the guppies as well.
I'll keep you guys posted...Also I'm on Long Island so if anybody has some used tanks or anything you think I could use shoot me a message.

my advice would be look into a colony of Trophus of some sort either the duboisi or moorii lufubu they are a tougher fish and more expensive up front but if you can get 3 or 4 different ages going in different tanks you will be busy selling, stripping, and moving fish around all day. and you will have no trouble selling these fish once you get going im 16 and i have about 5 55 gallons tanks with breeding Dudoisi cichlids and i selling them to my LFS for 10 dollars a fish when they are 1" or if i sell them on craiglist i can normally get about 15 for them. IMO they are the fish to breed to really get your money going. it took me about 6 months before i was really selling alot and once you get going you can try different food types and get them to grow faster. the best thing to get them growing fast IMO is 50% water changes everyday on your grow out tanks. if you have any questions please let me know i have tons of experience doing this at such a young. age
one more quick piece of advice for grow out tanks you can use 37 gallon rubbermade bins with a sponge filter on them you dont have to worry about them getting dirty either because you are doing 50% water changes daily. it works really well. good luck
I think fancy guppies are a good starting fish to breed. They're easy to breed and there is high demand. There tends to be high demand for many of the fancy strains of livebearers. Tropheus are also a good idea, but I'd get some more experience under your belt before investing in a colony of them. Same for the demasoni.
I just won the auction for the guppies. Might out them in the 10gal instead of the 55gal...Not sure yet.
So Far I have around $92ish dollars into this after Shrimp,Plants, and guppies. should be getting Shrimp and Guppies tomorrow, Pretty pumped.

Got everything today!! So I got the shrimp, Some adults, some Juvi's. I actually received 20-25 shrimp instead of 16, There are a few Red Rilli's 5 I believe.
Now for the Guppies. They are amazing, and so very nice looking, I have the 7 Adults in my 55gal with my 12 Platies. I received 8-12 Guppy fry which I put into my 10gal with the shrimp so they wouldn't get eaten by the platies. I believe 1-2 of the guppies are pregnant and I am about to move the biggest one to the 10gal so hopefully she will give birth in there.
I'll post pictures if i get a few people who want them.
