Let's see, they've got a Black Tip Reef Shark, Nurse Shark, and some sort of smooth hound shark (The last one jumped out of the pond overnight). They sold the last Black Tip to a guy for about $3,000. There's also a betta there that I bought that fakes its own death when it leaves the shop. It's been sold and brought back around 12 times. It's fine in the store, but once you get it home and acclimated, it'll just tip over and float on its side. Once you get it back in its bowl at the store though, it'll be fine!

:ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL: @ the betta...

over in HK, there is this pair of puffers (Carinotetraodon salivator) i think? at one shop which were for sale for about give or take USD $100 a pair... at first they were in their own 10 - 15G display tank... about two weeks later they were moved to those HOB type holding cells on a planted tank... 1 in each tiny "cell"...

Last weekend, which was about 1 month or more since the first time i saw them, they were still in their cells, this time covered in algae, with no price tag... so unfortunately i have a feeling these two won't make it much longer... sadly i don't have the tank space, or i'd try and get a deal for the both of them and give them a fighting chance...

My lfs has a 2 foot long RTC that they cant get rid of. Also some other kindnof catfish that they removed the price from. It's now I'm it own tank with bad fin rot and hardly moving.

^ it never ceases to amaze me at the prices of fish in the US when reading these threads... in HK you could pick up a blue eye pleco for under USD $100

why is it that some people in the us own snakeheads? I want one soooooooo bad!
They got them illegally then. They can face major consequences for getting caught for owning them.

Well I traded my Red Bay Snook for a peacock eel (Impulse buy) They have sold my Snook about 5 times on last count... It eats and kills everything... I had it in a small cichlid community tank lol

A lfs here has a really nice indo dat that's about 13-14" but they want $500 for something around that for it. It's been there for many months. Another fish store here has a 25" motoro stingray for $400. A really nice stingray but it has been there for a long time due to it's size.

a local store has this extremely ugly albino tiger oscar. It has barely any orange on it. they got it in as a little 2 incher, and its grown into a 10 incher. Nobody wants it. They tried to give it to me, and I was all like, "Hell no, I don't want that ugly thing".
