You should take your first sentence to heart friend. I am not sure what country you live in, but here in the USA and especially the areas I am specifically talking about, there is no such thing as "unregulated development"......do your research on the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area before you go babbling about things you have zero knowledge about...

I guess a degree conisisting of urban/environmental planning, environmental science, and environmental geography makes me uninformed then.

You want me to look up a case study of some place near where you live? It seems as though you are touting youtself as an expert on ONE case. Rather than telling me to look up something...why don't you expand your horizons beyond the northwest corner of the country.

No such thing as unregulated development? So you think municipal planning departments and agencies have the time and MONEY to stay on top of things like this? You have to be kidding...

vid was cool.. kinda.

no i havnt eaten seal... couldnt tell u what it tastes like. but anything can be made good.

and Human management? whos down for WWIII? that would pretty much do it.

Marine mammals are protected for a reason, it was a dick move and he deserves legal repercussions.

No sure of the habitat issue nor how sea lions affect populations of fish. but seriously the guy was pissed of that the sea lion took fish off his hook. To me makes little sense to argue them as pests and vermin decimating a population when had the sea lion not been present, the fish would have simply ended up on the guys table.

Make no mistake there is no way the sea lions are getting anywhere near the damage done by humans. To ignore that fact is foolish. Taking your gun to a creature who is eating to survive while you are fishing for hobby is disgusting no matter how you frame it. Hopefully this spurs someone to work on relocating the sea lions, not because they are a pest but for their own safety, as there are degenerate people out there who have access to guns.

fallin49er , would you shoot a sea lion?

sorry but this question was kinda to clear you because you sound like your in favor of this guy shooting an animal thats smarter than him. Maybe the animal does need to be removed but i hope everyone can agree that this puke shouldnt get jail time they should blow a couple of his fingers off. That way he doesnt have to think before firing another gun , he just wont be able to.
