small in-line spinner baits, power bait and very small crank baits is what i see people using when trout seasons begins here.

well theres a key to that rainbows are very sent oriented fish, krill is all ways a good sent for salmon eggs. Iam sure you might be able to get a few on night crawlers to.Dempseygunz;2938667; said:

Today began the the trout stocking days(March 24-April 15) where all water that will be stocked with trout is closed to all fishing. Which really bother's me cause i dont fish for trout so i really could care less. That being said i had to find somewhere to fish without the park rangers running down on me.
I arrived at my choice of lake for today at 2:25. So im just casting and casting and about 2:45 i see this nice 2lb plus bass run down on my lure but he missed it. I figured he didnt swim far tho so i picked my other pole with this new swim bait i having been using made by "sebil "tied on it. The bass came rite up behind the lure and smacked it but i tried to set the hook to soon and missed him. I seem to do that alot when i can see the bass strike. Anyway so i throw back in the direction where the bass is coming from BAM he runs down on it again but again i missed him and this time he felt the hook. I thought i had blow all my chances(3) to catch this fish. So i put down the "sebil" and picked back up my "lipless crank bait". Threw it back in the direction where the bass was coming from and with a few strokes of the reel BASS on, came in at 2.7lbs.
My bro came out there allitle while after that catch on his lunch break. He tried his jig but quickly gave up due to the fact of all the grass down on the bottom. He switch to a white spinner bait and was able to get a nice 14" bass and a 3.2lb chain pickeral and then we both left at 4 o'clock.
All in all it was a decent day!!

P.S.-I stopped by my other brothers house to beat him in some NBA LIVE "09" on PS3. People say we look alike???????????

well, i went and casted a few out in amos pond in ct yesterday. got nothing. really didnt spend much time though. probably wouldnt even have went yet if i didnt see this thread. im going again today. are you?

Yeah im going to leave out at like 1 and go do some exploring today. I do that to just check out the diffent water to see wat it is looking like.
Use a liples crank bait when u go out today and the spinner bait action is starting to pick up also.
