SPOTS FISHED-1

TIME FISHED- 7 HRS

FISH LANDED- 1 :irked:

Since the day before showed my that fishing wasnt died yet I returned back to the "Lakewood" spot.

The bite just wasnt there today. I got so restless that I decided to try some crappie fishing out. On my thrid cast with the little jig head and a bobber I thought I had a crappie but it turned out to be a small yellow perch. Other then that I had to small bites on the spinny and that was it.

I think it was bad karma cause I was supposed to go somewhere with the wife but I bucked on her to go fishing. Ha, you live and you learn!!

SPOTS FISHED-1

TIME FISHED- 7 HRS

FISH LANDED-I-3/Dennis-1

I dont work for nobody on my birthday so I decided to go fishing instead!!

Me and Dennis went to the 'Amazon" The first action of the was a 8-10lb carp that my "lipless" hooked on the tail while I was ripping it through the grass. I didnt get to take a pic cause as I was pulling it imto the boat it shook and the hook fell out :irked:. Right afterr that Dennis got his first when a small bass jumped on his spinny. My second was a small bass that thought the "Tuby Tube" was something good to eat. My thrid shpu;d of been a BIG CP but it missed the "lipless" amd swam off. Imstead my thrid and final fish of the day was a smaller CP that smacked the "lipless" about 50ft away.

Not the greatest fishing day ever but ha atleast I caught something on my b-day!!

Now its time to get ready for my steak & shrimp dinner topped off by a couple good "YAKS"!!!

No, I never heard of that spot.

Have you ever fished greenwood lake? Half of it is in NJ and the other half is in NY. I never been there but I here it's a very good lake.

Nope, never heard of it.

I have been looking for a good freshwater lake not too far from me...
My main haunt is Clove Lake, scarcely stocked Largemouth bass (caught 2 in my life, but then again they're so rare there I don't even bother), stunted Sunfish, Shiners and 2 kinds of Bullhead.
There's Prospect Park, which has 2 kinds of pickerel, plus Bowfin and a great variety otherwise, but for some reason I can never catch anything but young-of-the-year Bass and a few Bluegill...

if i could catch bigger i would. this is the biggest ive ever heard of or seen pulled out of my spot not to say there probably hasent been any bigger. ive used live before i caught the striper from my last post. these bluegill were about 6" in length so we cut em up. im happy just to catch fish in general but a nice big one doesnt hurt either. Im going out this weekend with a girl above the dam, 99% of my catches are below the conowingo dam. Theres big flatheads up there so well see what i can do.
