Well since my dumb behind called off yesterday, I returnded to work this morning to find ouut that it isnt any work. So what Im supposed to do CRY, hell no go fishing!!
At 8:30 I begun fishing at the same spot as the first post on this thread. Its called "bakers basin". It is a old basin they used to have as a stopping place off the D&R canal, where they would trade goods. To me it is a very good early and late season shore spot.
Soon as I made it to down to the water I seen a bass and trout(stock about two weeks ago) swim off. Seening that gave me some hope. My first action came in the form of a decent CP following my MAPPS #5 to the shore. I started out with the MAPPS on one pole and the lipless on the other. After about 20 minutes I switch up to the football jig(without pig) and the seibel swim bait. After that I moved down about 50ft to where I seen a massive brush pile. When I reached the spot I seen a small bass swim off. I threw the jig a couple time then picked up the seibel and BAM a nice 2lb CP banged right on it!! I did alittle moving around and my next fish was a small bass that picked the jig up soon as it hit the bottom. I missed the last bite of the day that came on the seibel, I think it was a small CP that hit it on the first twitch.
Two fish in two hours on December 1st, Im calling it a decent experience!!
