FISHING SEASON 09!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Probably chelated copper, copper sulfate, or maybe even just plain old copper for the ones containing copper; copper culfate can be toxic to fish :(.

Bromine is definitely toxic to fish, frogs, etc. :(; it's often used in pools.

Both chemicals are usually used to kill algae and control swimmer's itch; both probably will result in a fish kill of some scale :(:(:(, depending on the dosage.

yes the first two types of copper compounds were on the list, there was a total of five chemicals I took a pic on my phone but its two small to read.

all so there was an alge bloom in the lake this spring

CONTEST UPDATE-28-15-IM UP :headbang2

Today is Saturday and that means explore day for us. Saturdays we try out new lakes we never been to, Sundays we go to lakes we already know how the fishing is.

The first spot of the day is called "Aldrich Lake". I founded it on the map on my phone cause we tried to go "Manasquan Reservoir", but we couldnt launch cause when i went t go pay the five bucks it cost to launch a boat on this big,beautiful man made lake the park ranger asked me for two things. Boat registration and a copy of a safety something, i dont even remember what he said. All i know is that i didnt have it or ever heard of such a thing before. Something the state has made a law and it became effective on June 1st. :irked: :irked:

Back to the story. We coundnt launch the big boat onto "Aldrich Lake" so we dropped the old lunker boat instead. We did a quick hour.It is a swallow small lake with alot of lilly pad action(looks lovely). I manged to bang a small bass soon as we were on the water and that was all the action we seen. Went into the phone and looked up the next spot and we were off.

"Lake Enno" had a boat ramp :headbang2. It is a decent size lake, not to big not to small. Has lilly pads,alot of over hang, and a few docks. Like most of the lakes lately the CP's are bitng crazy. I got 13 fish and big bruh landed-7. I was able to get a keeper(barely) i mean he was just 15 inches. I missed the biggest fish of the day 5 feet from the boat playing around thinking it was just another little CP :irked:. Threw the buzzy parellel to a small dock Bam fish on and i set the hook but instead of just reeling it in, im playing around setting the hook like 3 times(dumb). The fish finally surfaced and when he did he threw the hook, it turned out to be a bass and ill say he weighted ever bit of 3 pounds or just under :irked:. The CP's where running down on the buzzy all day with a few bass mixed in. The lake shows some potenial.

Didnt catch a beast(2-3.5lbs) or a monster(3.5-up) today but we a had mad baits and landed some fish!! Cant beat it with it a bat!!

~~~~~~FISH MORE~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~STRESS LESS~~~~~~~~
Including pics from today,some updated pics of my boys 125, and a work of art i did Thursday at work. ENJOY!!
Went out this morning for a couple of hours. Me and a buddy caught 40 hand sized bluegills (all males). I caught 23 and he caught 17. Good day. 1.75 lbs of fillets.
see, i would love to do that. but we went to a lake, and the crappie was supposed to be biting, but we only had one catfish on my line that got away. and most of the places that we r able to keep the fish in, we could only keep like walleyes, and according to the dnr reports, the prospects of catching some of those is very slim. there is good bluegill prospects nearby, but they r only catch and release, and i wouldnt want to each much from that pond anyways.
in summary, most of the major lakes around here, either the fish dont bite, and if u catch it, its not legal to keep it.
its just much more gratifying to bring home fish, and then have them for breakfast the next day, it makes me want to hit the lake again, but nothing around here bites good, and lots of the bodies of water r contaminated in one way or another.
the best time to catch crappie is the week after the ice melts after that it gets slower and slower but may pick up with sustained cold weather.
