when i was in tennesee the only thing theyd hit on was minnows. let them chew on it for a second before u try to set the hook.

K, I'll try minnows; what about rope lures since my target is longnose. Do I need to actually see them to catch them? I have seen the gar before, just haven't caught them.

Bjay(big bruh) uses trailor hooks on his wire baits but im against it cause it limits where u can throw them cause one grass gets on them, your cast is done. The short strike thing is true but fry protecting mode is over in 90 prcent of the places I go to.

If I where you get a few of the new booyah spinner and buzz baits with the bendable hook. I just baught the new pip-zqueek buzz bait and a new booyah HD spinner bait and they both have the bendable hook. Wire baits and jigs are though baits to keep a fish hooked on dont feel bad just change it up a little.cichlid fiend;3207308; said:

Bass arnt the only type of fish out there. I would rather take a large catfish on light tackle than a large bass. Its just more fun. Bass all the top water flash but really arnt that strong.
