Bass might not be the best fightting fish but it is the most sought after game fish in The world and with that being said when u catch a trophy bass for ur state nothing can come close to that feeling. To catch big bass is a challange and when u conquer that challange, forget big catfish or watever you can catch much easier then a big bass.

You know it kinda sucks for me for the fact that my state record is out of reach for me due to it being the world record also.

i quess but i would love for the average big bass to be 5lbs in NJ :headbang2

Where?!?! I want to find that place. The average big bass at my lake is like 3 pounds.
 
Well that's still better then NJ cause are average big bass is 2lbs. Somebody caught the state record like two weeks ago but it couldn't count cause the season didn't open on the bass until June 15th. The crazy part is that the lake it was caught at I fish there and never landed nothing bigger then 3lbs.

BTW- the fish came in at 11.5lbs- NJ state record is 10.14 and has been like that since 1982.
 
Hey whats up all I am up her is WIS today I caught 1 largie and me and my friend caught a total of 5, 26-30 inch pike.
 
Went out today and caught a HUGE(for nj!) catfish, it put up a great fight and i was amazed at its size when it was out of the water, i went to grab the fish and as i pulled it more out of the water the line snapped and he swam away, the fish was bigger than my previous catfish pics

Since it was rainning pretty hard on and off, we decided to do some exploring to check out a couple new spots and check on water clarity.

The first spot is close to the dicks sporting goods, so after we grabbed a few things we made it to the same spot from post 3/20 and 3/22. Nobody landed anything but we had a few bites.

The second spot is a newbie for us (DEVOE LAKE). It doesnt have a place to put a boat on it but its a nice little lake with alot of lilly pad cover. It started rainning and the bass went crazy, i banged 7 real quick in the rain. Yet again i missed the big fish for the day :irked:, it hit the buzzy as i stopped reeling it in to answer the phone, it was every bit of 3 pounds. Big bruh banged a small CP and a little bass. After the rain stopped, so did the bite:irked:.

The thrid spot is the same lake from 6/13 and 6/15 and is called "Lake Manalapan" I banged 2 small ones and big bruh landed a one baby.

A decent search day but once again i let the biggest of the day get away. All in all, i still had fun!!!
