i love getting rockbass that size...They put up as a good as a fight as a larmouth double that size

Returned to back to "lake Assunpink" to see what "right before dark" would be like.
I had two small blow ups right off the back but my first fish(yellow perch) didnt come until about 45 minutes later on a spinner bait. Seen a dude catch a nice bass on a topwater plug. About 8:30 the bite picked up, i banged 3 more and nephew got one before it was over.
Had fun but kinda slow!!

Last night i said i would return back to "assunpink" but when i woke up i said "na lets try the lakewood spot"
Landed 2(CP's) right off the back but didnt see anymore action for about two and a half hours. Well i will have to say IM FALLING OFF, i dont know what is going on but im starting to feel like a bum lately. When the action finally came back it WAS a nice high 2's, low 3's LMB but the same as almost every day for the last past two weeks, it got OFF right at the boat. Not to long after i had the pleasure of seeing a decent 3.4lb CP run down the buzzy full speed, straight killed it 
. The bass bite picked up alittle around 1:30 to 3. Kyle my nephew finally got a bite but couldnt close the deal. He spent most of the day on the phone,swithing baits every five minutes,SLEEP or just not casting. See i stay focused when i fish no phone calls or atleast not for a long time. Went on to catch a few more before we called it a quits.
Still not felling losing to all the bigger fish lately but im still "loving it"

Got an Abu Garcia Ambassadeur C3 6500 reel today; get to test it out at my grandfather's friend's lake.

I would love to catch something different other than lmb and bluegill.
Gets REALLY boring after doing it for years. Once I found a river where you could catch flatheads, channels, crappie, pickeral, and HUGE lmb, the owners of the marina (Can't access the river from anywhere else) ban fishing from the property due to too many idiots keeping spawning female bass. Got me mad but hey, once I get my fishing kayak i can finally fish there again. Untill then, I'm stuck with retention ponds.

Forgot to mention the gars, fishing for them is AWESOME!!!
Tie on pretty much anything that can entangle their teeth, or a lure if your not into sight fishing, and you can have a blast catching gars all day long. Most I caught was about 15-20 gars in 4 hours!!! Using a zara spook and rope. Biggest I caught was at least 3 feet long.
